About Julie Williams

Julie Williams is an acoustic pop singer-songwriter and jazz vocalist based in Nashville, TN.

Julie was an artist for Small Town Records in Durham, NC, whose alumni include Grammy-nominated artist Mike Posner and Delta Rae. While a student at Duke University, Julie was a vocalist for the Duke Jazz Ensemble, performing in over dozen shows with renowned jazz musicians including Wayne Bergeron, Rufus Reid, Chris Potter, Carol Sloane, and Joe Locke. In 2018, she opened for the folk band Mt. Joy at Cats Cradle in Carrboro, NC and for country act Sweet Tea Trio at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, NC. In April 2019, she released her debut EP, Lovecycle.

Julie moved to Nashville in August 2019 after a summer of shows in Washington D.C, including a performance at the DC JazzFest donor party. In September 2019, she made her Nashville debut at Whiskey Jam’s Americana Night. Julie’s work in the studio and jazz training helped to develop her unique style, an acoustic pop feel with country and jazz influences. She was featured in People of Duke Arts in 2019.
